WRITE THE VISION

WELCOME

This is the second phase of "Write the Vision and Make It Plain.."(Hab.2:2).

Hear Rhema Messages and Prophecies from God's Anointed leaders.

Feast now on the prophetic writings of Prophet Stephen Hanson:

"THE WHOLE GOSPEL" Part I.

-- King James 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

-- American Standard 2 Timothy 3:16 Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness.

-- New International Version 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. NIV

This is a teaching that will be coming out in at least two parts. The first one below, lays the ground work for some of the over-all concerns and areas that we need to be aware of. In Part II. I intend on continuing this with some areas spiritually that we as prophets need to be particularly aware of.

I find that there are many out there among us who teach and preach "certain" scriptures and areas of the Bible, and seem to avoid others. I believe that we are all guity of this in one way or another. I include myself in this as well. Sometimes it seems that a certain scripture is "elevated" above others, and is given predominance. We are told in 2 Tim. 2:15, that we are to do our best to present ourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who "correctly handles the word of truth." How does one "correctly handle the word of truth?" Well, one way is by not taking a portion of scripture out of context. When we are reading we need to go back to the chapter we are reading, and see what the "entire chapter" is concerned about. Another thing that can very easily happen is that one may find themselves either just reading a certain portion of the Bible and excluding perhaps the Old Testament.

We have an example for us in Hebrews that outlines some of the elementary principles of the doctrine of Christ. HEB 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, [2] instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. [3] And God permitting, we will do so. What seems to happen is that someone can very easily "pull a portion of a text, like this, out of context." Our doctrines need to be focused upon Christ and not on other things. We should all have an understanding about what our faith in God is and is about, but in ONLY continuing to empahsize this, one falls short. Or as an other example, how we should baptise one another, or laying on of hands. These are but a few examples within this portion of scripture that have been either over-emphasized, or pulled out of context. God wants us to go beyond these teachings, and then onto maturity.

Remember that Israel polluted and misunderstood the law as it was given to them as well. We are in the same danger. An example of this is here: DT 5:12 "Observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded you. [13] Six days you shall labor and do all your work, [14] but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your donkey or any of your animals, nor the alien within your gates, so that your manservant and maidservant may rest, as you do.

Then we have Jesus come upon the scene and he is encountered by some of the Pharisees of the day: MT 12:1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. [2] When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, "Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath." MT 12:3 He answered, "Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? [4] He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread--which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. [5] Or haven't you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple desecrate the day and yet are innocent? [6] I tell you that one greater than the temple is here. [7] If you had known what these words mean, `I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent. [8] For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath." Man was not made for the Sabbath, but the Sabbath was made for man. How easy it is for a certain law, a statue, to be carried to excess, and then misapplied.

Another area that oftentimes becomes distorted is in area of the "faith teachers." Here again, this is an excellent "portion" of scripture and one that is very valuable for us, but when this particular doctrine is elevated above all others than that is ALL one considers. Here as well is a part of scripture that is sometimes quoted: PS 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. A beautiful verse and a promise from God, BUT what about the first part of it? We must "delight ourselves in the Lord first," and then our desires will line up with His. From this type of teaching can easily come the "I name and claim it doctrine." Again, what starts out as an important area of scripture then ends up as distorted and is elevated beyond its original intent. Here is another one: MT 21:21 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. [22] If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." Now of course Jesus is referring to the "mountains and areas of obstacles and problems in our lives and not actual mountains. " But I find that the last verse is where the real problem lies. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." So if we simply believe then we will receive whatever we ask for in prayer! Well, it seems that there would then be a lot of folks out there with a Mercedes and huge bank accounts. BUT what is the intent of this scripture? The intent I believe, is that when we spend time together in prayer with God, that through our times of fellowship with Him, that our desires again will be aligned with His desires, and we will then receive what we ask for in prayer. Will He meet our needs? Most certainly, but if we ask presumptously then we will not receive.

The desire for spiritual gifts is a good one and is outlined in I CO. 12--I CO. 14. We are told to "eagerly desire spiritual gifts, but when this is ALL we are seeking, then we have missed something. I believe that the same is true of the various ministries that are stated in Ephesians 4. [11] It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers.....When we are concentrating or focusing on just what our duties are, we are missing the boat again. All of this, and EVERYTHING we study, should be pointing us back to the author and finisher of our faith---JESUS. We need to seek the mind of Christ. We need to seek the whole counsel of God. It is the ENTIRE WORD of God and not just a certain food group that will satisfy us and give us a healthy diet.

Finally, anyone who wants to have a healthy diet must partake of ALL of the basic food groups. If one is just eating meat and potatoes, then their diet is suffering. The same is true in the spiritual realm. If we are just partaking of the gospels of Christ, then we are unbalanced. To be sure, we will have grasped some important concepts and teachings of Christ that are pointed out within the parables that He taught. But we have neglected other areas, important areas of truth as seen in the Epistles, the psalms, the prophets, etc. We need each other. We need to be grounded in the entire word of God so that we will show ourselves approved by God. We need what the apostle can bring to us in this hour. We need their discernment and their area of expertise concerning doctrine, so that we are not carried away by the various winds and waves of strange teachings. But we are in danger there as well, when we JUST emphasize what they bring to the table. Seek the whole and entire counsel of God.

1CO 2:10 ...The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. [11] For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. [12] We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. [13] This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. [14] The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. [15] The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: 1CO 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

"A YEAR OF MANY THINGS"
Jan. 5, 2002
EPH 2:1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, [2] in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

[7] For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. [8] And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. 2TH 2:5

"This is a year....This is a year of new things. This is a year of gaining back what the cankerworm has stolen. This is also a year of finding the culprit who started this war on America. Remember that there is a spirit at work behind every political thing. There is my spirit or there is the spirit of the world. The spirit of the world is the enemy at work behind the scenes. Much that happened originally with the bombing of Sept. 11 was the result of the enemy's work in men's hearts. So, remember that this is not just a "man" but that this is the enemy. One evil person, can be replaced by a host of others. So, you may find the instigator, but this war will not be found out until the enemy at work behind the scenes is chained. "

"You do not attack this spirit with the things of this world. You use the weapons of my arsenal. I tell you that there will be skirmish upon skirmish this year. This present war will continue for many more months. I tell you that there is a new thing coming as well. For just within the last few weeks a new coin and currency was founded. It is the European coin called the Euro. It was made in order to make things simpler. But I tell you that it will open other doors. For while it is good that countries be united , this united effort will open the way for a political leader. He will be able to work in the midst of those countries who are united because they have a common thread of currency. New alliances will be formed. There will be alliances between his country and those who consent to his leadership."

"But in the mean time, it is time for my church to continue its efforts of bringing the world into a knowledge of Me. I AM going to rid the church of much of their false pretences. I AM going to bring down those leaders who have exalted themselves. A true church will be found where people are joined together in prayer, where the agendas of man are absent. You will meet together in homes. You will sing songs to Me. Your agendas will be absent. I tell you that I will tear down the pulpits that have elevated a man or a ministry. There will be many who will find the true sheep pen. For where two or more are gathered in my name there am I in your midst. "

"I say, guard your hearts during this year. Let them be found in the habitation of my Spirit alone. Seek the narrow way. Seek the way less trodden by men. Climb the mountain along the cliffs and ravines. Though the way may be found with stern upgrades and craggy hills, I will be there. I will be there. Amidst the mountain streams. "

"I AM THE LIGHT"
August 8, 01

GE 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2] Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. GE 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. [4] God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. [5] God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day. ISA 9:2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. JN 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. [4] In him was life, and that life was the light of men. [5] The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. "Turn on the light.....turn on the light so that you would all see, my people. There is a light that is within each of you. It is the revelation of my Holy Spirit. Many of you have attempted to use your own light, but my light shines much brighter. I Am that light that came into the world. In the beginning there was only the void and darkness, and I created two lights to shine forth. One of them is that great star known as the sun. The other one(s) are those stars that shine in the heavens. Both of these were set to give light unto men. But they are "physical light." In Me you will find the light that guides mankind. It is the light that gives hope to mankind. The enemy has tried to understand that light but he cannot. If you were to have all the lights turned off, and there was no light to be found, even the stars in the sky, my light would shine forth. For that light would illuminate and would show forth its brilliance. " "Many, in fact ALL of mankind is dependent upon electricity. With it you provide the resources for your home. Great generators keep this flowing and help keep a city alive because of this. But mankind has become much too dependent upon these things. There are millions upon billions of watts of electricity that flow from these generators unto your homes. With it you have toasters and microwaves and computers. You have televisions and radios. From hair dryers to all the modern conveniences, you have something at the touch of your fingertips. And it is not wrong to have these things, but it has become a mammoth undertaking to keep it afloat. Can you keep the earth itself plugged-in? Can you control the seasons? Can you control the night and day? I tell you that there is a light source beyond your earth. There is a power greater than anything you can imagine. The great turbines and power plants fall short to anything like it. Turn on the switch of my Holy Spirit, and there will be more than anything that you need. It is a commodity that does not cost you anything. But it will cost your soul if you do not tap into it. So, remember that my light shines brighter. Remember that in the beginning there was only darkness. But my light is the "life" of mankind. It is the "hope" of mankind. And it is the "future" of mankind. "

"A WORD OF WISDOM" June 21, 01 PR 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. PR 8:34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. HAB 2:3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. MT 7:24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. [25] The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. [26] But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. [27] The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash." This is "wisdom and words to a church that needs them:" "When you receive a word of prophecy, do not immediately "run" with it. Inquire of Me "what" to do with it. There are so many "words" coming forth in this hour, and many oftentimes, are forgotten. What becomes of these words? For there is wisdom in waiting. Would it not be better to "know" what to do with my message? And what kind of action do you have with the words you receive? What will you "do" with what I have told you? Otherwise, these words are spoken into the wind. My kingdom is involved in "doing" and not just in "speaking." To be sure, each has their place. Know how these things operate, my people. Then you will be equipped for the hour in which you are living. For indeed, this is the purpose of a "master builder," for there is a strategy in knowing "how" to implement what is being said. Remember that blessed is the man that "does" what he hears. Then your house will stand erect and it will not fall into the sea. So go and speak my word, but put it into action. That is what my kingdom is about. " Stephen Hanson

"HOW CAN YOU BE MY BODY UNLESS YOU ARE JOINED TO MY HEAD?"

Jan. 6, 01 [22] And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, [23] which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. Eph. 1 [15] Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. [16] From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Eph. 4

(The Lord showed me a scene of a man who was holding a telescope. I looked at this first and thought that it was a pipe of some sort because it was rather long and I was looking at it as if I was looking through it. Then I was shown the man again and he held it up to his eye to look out from it. I also was shown part of the lens that was in it. This person was on a ship and was looking out through this telescope into the surrounding water and area. Then I was shown an another instrument of some kind. It was metal and had various markings on it on a dial. The man held it in his hand and was using it to navigate with. I believe one would call it a sextant. Lastly, I was shown the wheel where the captain would steer the ship forward. However, the person at the wheel was turning it back and forth furiously, without any sense of direction. This continued, and then I saw the man struggle as he was thrown to the ground. Another person was at the wheel now, but without a head. They appeared to be like the headless horseman in Hawthorne's tale of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." I knew that this person could not see, nor steer properly, because they didn't have a HEAD on their shoulders, but he seemed to "think" that he knew where to go in spite of his inability to see anything. After this, the scene faded. Then a man on the ship was carrying something in his arms. It appeared to be a huge statue of some type. He set it down somewhere away from the front of the ship. I then saw the Lord and knew that He was involved in this situation. He appeared as the King of Kings and was watching over the scene and those that were on the boat. He then said: "Will you let Me steer the ship, for I know where it needs to go?" Then I saw some of the men in the boat. They were dressed as Roman soldiers and they had spears in their hands. They seemingly wanted to take charge of the ship and all of the orders. There was an angel hovering over the ship as if watching. This angel then drifted down in the rear of the boat continuing to watch. Finally, I saw a scroll that was being unraveled by someone. As it was unraveled, a section at a time, I noticed that it was a map; the type that one would use for navigation on a ship. This scene faded from view and then I saw the ship itself, and it had turned over on its side in the ocean. It was sinking, and had been turned over. ) "My people, there are many of you that think that you are the captain of your own destiny. You think that you can steer the ship without Me. But you are without a HEAD and you cannot see. There are some of you that have let the enemy drive the ship forward. He will navigate you into strange waters. He is to be chained and thrown overboard. There are many difficult waters to cross in the coming months. You need to let ME steer and show you which way to go. How can you be my body unless you are joined to my head? "

"DO NOT DISCARD WHAT IS VALUABLE IN THIS HOUR"

Jan. 16, 01

AC 27:13 When a gentle south wind began to blow, they thought they had obtained what they wanted; so they weighed anchor and sailed along the shore of Crete. [14] Before very long, a wind of hurricane force, called the "northeaster," swept down from the island. [15] The ship was caught by the storm and could not head into the wind; so we gave way to it and were driven along. [16] As we passed to the lee of a small island called Cauda, we were hardly able to make the lifeboat secure. [17] When the men had hoisted it aboard, they passed ropes under the ship itself to hold it together. Fearing that they would run aground on the sandbars of Syrtis, they lowered the sea anchor and let the ship be driven along. [18] We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard. [19] On the third day, they threw the ship's tackle overboard with their own hands. [20] When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved. "This message is a "continuation" of an earlier word that was given to me on Jan. 6, 01. The first section is that word. The one today follows it." "Remember that the enemy was thrown down from the wheel. Remember that a ship without a captain cannot sail properly. I have been "thrown-off" some of your ships lately. The water is deep and the winds blow. " "Nevertheless, a ship may be destroyed and not its inhabitants. My servant Paul, sailed in a ship once with a great storm. I assured him that he would come safely there. He had a mission to fulfill. Many of you have a mission to fulfill as well. The storms have blown in many directions in your lives. Be certain though, that you do not throw what is valuable overboard, though. " (The Lord showed me a ship that was sailing. I was looking at it from above and it was in a narrow channel. There were huge craggy cliffs on either side rising up next to it. Then as I continued watching the ship, my view was lowered to where I was eye level with the ship. I began to notice several of its people throwing things overboard. First there were jewels and treasure boxes that were thrown. Then cell phones and other things were cast aside into the ocean. After this, I noticed that pieces of paper were also thrown overboard into the ocean. On one of them the word "FAITH" was written down. The second one said, " HOPE" on it. I also noticed however, that "FEAR" was kept on the ship. Also the word "LOVE" was also cast aside. I then noticed these pieces of paper and watched them as they floated away from the ship. Other things were also cast aside in the form of musical instruments and even some people as well. Then the ship began to rock back and forth. Finally it capsized and turned on its side, and began to sink. However, before it actually sank, a huge figure, the Lord, reached down and lifted up the ship in HIs hands and with a net He brought it to safe and dry land and set it upon a rock on the beach. I noticed a lighthouse that was searching to and fro across the waters. A great storm was upon the sea. The waves came in great height and force like a hurricane. Some people were actually swimming in towards the beach for safety. Other remains of broken-up pieces of ship wreaks were floating here and there on the sea. I noticed as well, that the light from the lighthouse was shining upon the waters, searching for people who were lost at sea. Some had their hands out, as they were holding onto the debris from the ships that had gone down. It was evening and the sun had just gone down, and the waters were beginning to calm down now. I saw a net that a man was climbing on. As he continued to climb, I noticed that this net was part of someone. It was the Lord Himself; the net was part of His robe. As He stood in the water, this man continued to climb up Him for safety. The Lord reached out His hands for him and others, to climb to safety. ) "Come to Me in the midst of the storm and you will find safety. The waters will rise and fall, but I have control over them. Do not discard what is valuable in this hour. You will need these things for the journey. "

"SEEK ME AS HIDDEN TREASURE" May 6, 00"

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matt. 6:21 Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Prov. 3:13-15 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Matt. 13:44 "I would you show you a man who is in search of something." "This man traveled over many far seas and areas of the world. He traveled over mountains and he traveled over deserts. He walked the streets of many of the cities of this world. Many people have been searching and they have not found the answer." "You must look for Me more than you would look for fine gold. I AM the treasure that was hidden in the field. I say, escalate for Me, and you find Me in the midst of your everyday life. You will find Me as a treasure hidden. Wisdom is more to be desired than fine gold or silver, but I AM more than just mere wisdom. Look for Me and you will find Me. (I saw a golden chalice which was lifted up and was being drunk, and passed around to people.) "Will you drink the cup that I have drunk? I say that I have offered my life freely to those who would come to Me. Drink of that life-giving stream, the one which flows from my throne. Those who seek Me are rewarded. As David said, "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good." During the stillness of the morning and during the day, I will speak. Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will filled with my Spirit. But you must hunger and thirst for Me more than you would anything else. " "I have called some to the mountain in this hour, and I have called some to the caves. There is a battle which is raging and I have called you all to partake in it. Oh dear people of mine, do not be lax in the things you do. Be wise as serpents, but innocent as doves. And do not be lax in your worship, for I AM a rewarder of those who diligently seek after Me." "Seek Me in times of plenty, and seek Me in great need. Seek Me at all times and I will be there to answer. " "Look for the treasure that was hidden, and you will find it in Me." Stephen Hanson

BALANCE

April 27, 00

I am realizing that there is a great need in the body for us to come into a place of "balance" in our walk and in our relationship with our Lord. Let me begin by saying that there is a need to have revelation knowledge, and a need for a thorough and deep understanding of the word--the logos. We see and hear much about visions and prophetic words from the Lord, and again, this is good and absolutely crucial for us to have. Being a prophet and having that calling and drive, I understand the unique and oftentimes, the burdens and things which are "seen" and experienced. However, I believe that we need to not neglect the written word, the scriptures, in our pursuit of revelation and prophetic speech. We must seek the Lord above all else; but in the seeking, within the desire to hear Him better, and to know Him, what we hear from Him, must be coupled with what He is also saying in His written word. We must also study to show ourselves approved. I know that the apostle brings with him or her, the trowel of the "master builder," and with this, hopefully, the balancing, and plumb line, will be made more distinct and clear. We however, all need the balance which I am talking about here, and without it, then, "the winds of doctrine, and the winds of varying spirits," will lead us astray.

II Tim. 2:15. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

1.. You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, John 5

In fact, I believe, that much of what is prophesied comes out of our understanding, and our exposure to the written word, along with the Holy Spirit's leading and unction. Much of what is prophesied by those who are "young in the gift" can be seen in looking at the scriptures. What I mean here, is simply that "they are prophesying the word." And that is good and well, for "edification, exhortation, and comfort." When the prophetic word however, becomes one of direction or correction, then oftentimes, it may not be readily seen in the written word. There however, should and must be, a substantiating, or a reinforcement, if you will, of this prophetic word found in a foundational truth in the written word.

Now, God has set in the church various members, each functioning in their own way under His plan to carry out what the body of Christ is in its multiplicity. So, those who prophesy, need in their "being carried away in the Spirit," a balancing beam of the teacher. Not all prophets will teach, it is true, but they should have a good knowledge of the written word or logos. Without this, then, I believe, they may fall prey to "misleading Spirits." As we are being carried along by the currents of Holy Spirit, and hearing what the Spirit has to say unto the churches, we need also, to be "grounded," and not lose the foundational truths which will keep us strong and sane. There is a "balance" which is found in the differences and the functioning of the varying ministries within the body--namely, the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. But all of these offices and each of these individually, need the balance within themselves which I am referring to.

Now, to be sure, it is also true, that one may neglect the Spirit, and then give too much credence to the logos, or written word. These are those who follow the "letter of the law." These are those who have become pharisaic in their understanding, and in their relationship with the Lord.

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. II. Co. 6

Remember that honest scales and balances are from the Lord. He desires for us to whole and complete in Him, and not "wavering from side to side" like a wave upon the ocean.

Honest scales and balances are from the LORD; all the weights in the bag are of his making. Prov. 16:11

Lastly, in our pursuit of being "whole and complete in Him," we must make every effort to add the qualities of "Christ-likeness" to ourselves. This is something obviously, which we can't muster-up on our own willpower or abilities, but is done through Him, and in our relationship with Him.

II. Peter 5. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;

6. and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;

7. and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

1.. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To conclude, back in 1993, the Lord gave me a word which concerned the very things which I am mentioning now, and that is BALANCE. He compared this to a tent. It is below, and says these things much better than I can. May we all ultimately come to a place of BALANCE in the body of Christ, where the wind will blow, but the stakes of the tent, will also remain intact.

BALANCE

"Learn to balance the word of the Spirit with the written word. For when you can do this you are on your way to maturity, for both are needed.

The revealed word that is spoken is said out of an understanding of my written word. As a tent has stakes in it which represents my written word; it anchors the tent and holds it in place.

But what would the tent be holding up? It takes on the shape and contour that I would embody unto it. So, in the same way, the voice of the spirit is represented in this way. Let the tent rise to its full potential in me.

Let its pitch and its sides fall where I want it to. And know that you are all tents of mine, would say the Lord. You are all being perfectly joined together in me.

For the ministry of teaching my word, and the spoken word, are both needed. And so, this tent is the tent that must be strong. Its stakes must go down into the very ground on the foundation of my written word.

But let the breeze blow, and let it blow through the fabric of this tent. Let it seep in through every crevice and stitching of the fabric of my Holy Spirit. For it is woven by my hands; I am the master craftsman; I hold the tent by my son, Jesus Christ. He holds the very fabric together, and by his stripes, nothing will cause this tent to fall.

Thus would say the spirit of the Lord, the one who has made every tent for its purpose."

Yours in Him,

"COME INTO SAFE HARBOR"

Jan. 5 evening, 2000

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Matt. 6:25-27

"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." Luke 10:41-42

"Speak tenderly unto Zion, and tell her that her long service is over with."

"There are times of resting, and there are times of laboring. There are times when my servants need to learn how to rest. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. There is a way of entering into my rest even in the midst of laboring for Me. Many of my servants find themselves caught-up in all kinds of activities. Strain and toil….these are things which can hurt your relationships. Muscles and tendons are stretched when exertion is great, so in the same way, is it in the Spirit. Exercise is needed in order to be in shape, and truly, this is important; but without rest between those moments of exercise, then a muscle is overly exerted.

"I tell you, I see many of you going about, doing this and doing that. "Activities…activities…. There is so much "busy-ness." "Martha, Martha, when will you just sit at my feet? Did not even the Son of Man go and find a place to spend time with Me? There is no fruitfulness in activity, which is activity just for the sake of activity. "
"Let Me make an analogy:"
"There was once two boats which set sail. Both of them had a full crew and the necessary gear. And then, a stormy gale came. One of them was busy "polishing" and getting everything ready. They were constantly checking the netting. They checked the sails to make sure that they had no tears in them. They checked the instruments to make sure that they were all working properly. And the other ship simply had their men stationed at various positions. They looked out and saw a storm approaching them; and they hoisted the sails and made ready. But the other ship was so busy watching for a tear in this or that. Which ship do you think made it safely home?

"And so it is with you, my people, you need not be preoccupied with all the cares of this world. I will take you safely home to a safe harbor. I will bring you "safely home." There are many things, which would concern you about the year in which you are living. Truly, this year, this New Year, will see many changes. But again, do not just look at the "netting," and how you can prepare. Look unto Me. "

"SEEK ME IN THE MIDST OF THE CLAMOR"

Dec. 29, 1999

"Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who

deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city. Although they say, `As surely as the LORD lives,' still they are

swearing falsely."

O LORD, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them, but they refused correction.

They made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent. " Jeremiah 5

"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the

oppressed free and break every yoke?

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter-- when you see the naked, to clothe

him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Is. 58:6-7

"Go out about the city, and tell Me what do you see? A people who are callused and have gone on their own way. In their houses

their homes are beautiful to the sight; every imaginable thing they have. Gold and silver is hoarded up for them. But I tell

you, aad this, you might ask? Who have been their heroes? Who have been their examples? For they have looked to the

media and those on the "silver screen."

I tell you, that this "new year" will be filled with many things. You will hear of wars and the continuation of these things.

Brother will betray brother, and the love of many will "wax cold." Many will shut themselves up in their hollow caves. For the

days which are ahead, are days which I have warned you about. It is a time of seeking Me above the clamor. It is a time of

seeking Me in the midst of the storm. Surely, this nation which was once founded upon my word, can return to Me. But you need to

throw away your detestable things. A cup of judgment is ready to be poured out upon you. Woe to those you say "peace and

prosperity." Many of you have a faith in Me, but you have denied the power their-in. Many of you have neglected the poor. Many

of you have neglected the "fatherless." Many of you have neglected the widow and the widower. You have neglected your neighbors

and the people next to you. For is this not what I ask, to loose the chains of bondage? To proclaim liberty to the captives? To

extend mercy and love to a nation which has gone far from Me? To be my examples to the darkness around you? For you are to be my

"lights" in a fallen world. They need to know my word where my word has not been known. Lift up your hands and see if I would not

hear your pleas and cries unto Me.

Will judgment come, or will it be stayed? The tide has risen, and the dam has been broken. I say again...."Seek Me in the midst

of the clamor." Do not follow the voice of another. To those who hear my voice, I will lead them to a place of safety. I will be

a "strong tower" to them. I will be their city of refuge. Surely I have warned....now heed my command. "

"A NEW HEART"

Dec. 21, 1999

"Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;" Ps. 26:2

..."Would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart?" Ps. 44:21

"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" Jer. 17:9

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

Ez. 36:26

(As this word began, I was in the ocean under the surface of the water looking down into it. Then I was in the midst of an underwater tank which would take people down into the depths of the ocean to explore what is there. The Lord was with me, as we journeyed down together. I watched, as I saw various eddies and currents in the water. We were looking at the ocean's waters, but

I knew that this was but an analogy, or symbol, of what He was showing me about the heart.)

"I have created a heart in each man and woman. It is the place of my abode, and it is the place where I reside. Rivers of living

water flow there. In the ocean there are currents which are continuous--there are eddies and various tides. In the depths of the

ocean are many secret places. There are places where man has never gone. There are various creatures which lie hidden. And

yet....I know these places. For when I dug out the great sea vaults, I provided a place for "this world."

"And there are places similar to this in the heart. There are caverns and subterranean places. There are places that only I know

about. These places, I hollow out, and I speak there. It is in the secret place that I reside. For it is silent there, and the

currents do not invade in."

"It is as a man who goes down into the ocean, to explore the depths. He is kept within that thing from the outside water. He is

protected from those elements. And that is the place where I AM in. I have explored those caverns which lie deep within your

hearts. No one has plumbed its depths. No one has gone all the way to the bottom. There is deceit in man that he knows nothing

about. And in spite of this, I can make his heart new again. I can perform surgery on those areas that need work. "

"Let Me explore the depth of your hearts with you. For it is out of the heart that man believes. Then I will make it an altar and

a sanctuary. There I have hollowed it out, and there, I will make it a beautiful thing. I do not look on the outward appearance,

but on the inner regions of the heart. Thus would say, the Lord who has given a new heart."

AS IN DAYS OF OLD

Sept. 9, 1998

"The trees of the field will open-up, and instead of briars and thorns, a

lush garden will be seen. For my people are a planting of mine. You have

come out of the desert and dry places. Many of you have been scorched by

the heat. But now I will be your shelter. For the land will produce a great

harvest. For streams will flow in the midst of the desert. Many of you have

been obscure and hidden. You have wandered in places which have given you

the necessary fruit, and has produced character in your lives.

You are my planting, and you will be raised-up in these days. Give unto

those who ask of you, and pray for those who despisedly use you. There is a

procession of my people coming upon the scene. As in the days of old when

my people were brought forth, so now in this time, am I calling my people

out. Following the same pathways will not work anymore. I am establishing a

highway, a road. On this road, my people will go. On this road, you will

find the weary and downtrodden. Reach out to those you find there. There

were times in the past when others reached out to you.

Consider the rock from which you were hewn. Look to Sarah your mother, and

Abraham your father. For they came from the bedrock, and from this rock

have you also come. For the generations of your ancestors cries out. For

this generation will not pass away until all these things are done.

Remember that a great cloud of witnesses is surrounding you. The balance is

a hand and justice awaits.

Gather jewels from the midst of my Spirit.

The Lord showed me two hands reaching down into a container, and

emerald-looking stones were held in the hands. They were crystal-clear and faceted.

A miner would mine for gold and silver, but the real treasures are found with Me. For I long to give my body the treasures of my Spirit. I long to set your borders with rubies and saphires. Look for the gems in my Spirit.

Then the eyes of your hearts will be enlightened, and a new day will dawn,

and you will be set upon a hill, and you will be gathered from the four

corners of the earth. In its time I will hasten it. And you will be called

the "righteousness of my kingdom." And you will be as kings and princes

unto Me. So go out, as in days of old, and establish the things of my

kingdom."

YOU WILL WIN

Aug. 29, 1998

"Remember how my servant Jonah was called to the city of Ninevah? I gave

him a word to deliver unto the people. He was in fear at first, and then he

went. The people put on sackcloth and ashes, and they were truly repentant.

They were spared the destruction which was to come. And my servant Jonah

was displeased because I held my hand back.

Behold...I am a God of compassion and mercy. When my people bow and worship

Me, when they turn from their sins and are truly repentant, then I hear

them. But when a people continually disregard Me, then I must carry out my

plans. When they say, "peace and safety," do not believe them. In the

coming years, there are strategies which will be set. Fot the enemy knows

of his soon defeat. He knows that he will lose the battle. But I say, that

he will try everything to thwart the cause of my saints. He is devising his

schemes, and pouring all of his wickedness into this plan. It is the plan

for the emergence of this great leader, and much of the world will run to

see him. Remember that I have told you that even the elect could be

deceived. His schemes have divided many of my people. But I tell you this,

that when the battle gets really dark, and you think that you are on the

losing side, remember who your King is. For just as I have been triumphant

over death, so I will make you. You will be given more wisdom, you will be

given more discernment into his plans, and your armor will be made

stronger. For it will equip you in the midst of all these battles. Your

sword will divide between truth and falsehood. Your breastplate will abound

with faithfulness. Your loins will be girded for truth. Your feet will be

shod with the gospel of peace. Your belt will have righteousness round

about it, and your helmet will give you hope. Hold up your shields, for

they will sustain the fiery darts. No tactic, nor anything of the enemy,

will prosper against you. When the hour is at the darkest, and it appears

that the sun has gone down forever, remember my soon return. And just as I

ride upon my horse, so will you, my warriors, ride upon yours.

BE NOT DISMAYED...FOR YOU WILL WIN.

STAND UPON THE WALLS

Aug, 14, 1998

"STAND, STAND, STAND upon the walls of this generation. My watchmen, you

need to stand and look out. You need to look out into my body. Spend your

time in prayer looking out into my body. Cry out for those who have fallen;

for many have fallen in these battles. You need to warn them of what you

see, for there is crying and hurting going on. There is division in my

body. You ask for things which you want; you pray to me for your desires,

but you ask wrongly. You ask for reasons to fulfill your own desires. When

you stand upon the walls, look out into the surrounding area.

MY WATCHMEN, WARN THEM OF APPROACHING JUDGEMENT. You must warn them of what

lies ahead. For I am a God of justice, and I must execute my decrees. I

care about the smallest child. I am a God of mercy and compassion. But when

my words have gone unheeded for so long, I must carry out my plan. For

justice cries out, and this nation will see my hand. Shall I come back with

a whip or with tenderness? Many people have forsaken my ways--they have followed after the "gods" of their own making. They have followed the stars, and all of the ancient practices. These things cannot bring them life. You are racing towards judgement, and it is going at an incredible speed. If you could slow down, then you could perhaps hear the cry--the cry

for this nation, the cry for repentance, and the cry for coming back unto

Me, for that is the cry of the Father."

Stephen Hanson

THE FATHERS

Aug. 12, 1998

"The church needs leadership-leadership which is of a new order. It is

about to enter into the time of the Lion. For too long, has it been without

shepherds. There will continue to be a need for my eagles to spread my

word. But it is time for the Fathers to step forward. It is time for her to

be governed rightly. For my body needs to know where she is going. Every

part needs to work together. I have divine order set in my kingdom; the

universe and everything in it has an order. There are stars and planets

which are set in their motion, and there are seasons appointed for man to

live out his days. There is a need for order in the smallest of things--in

how an atom is made and set-up. If I have set order in my creation, would

there not be a need for it in my body?

It is time for you to come out. for I have been training you, and preparing you. Come out and do the work I've called you to. Be there to guide and direct, and help my body come unto maturity. And help work with my prophets, and together you will stand upon this generation and equip the saints for my return."
